    We are seeking a Technical Product Manager – Quality for our Routing and Rendering business unit within the Location Services group. The Routing and Rendering product team, composed of experienced product leaders, is dedicated to enhancing our foundational routing and rendering services. This includes specialized offerings such as EV routing, Matrix routing, Isoline routing, Fleet Telematics, Vector tile service, and Raster tile service, all aligned with the ONE platform vision at HERE.     In this role, you will report directly to the Director of Product Management for Routing & Rendering.

     

    As a member of the Routing and Rendering team, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the routing services on our HERE platform. Your responsibilities will include overseeing quality and processes and managing cross-business unit projects.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage internal team processes aimed at streamlining work while minimizing and simplifying overhead. For example, managing the error management process, requirements intake process, and planning process.
    • Oversee and manage projects across business units that involve our Routing and Rendering services, in collaboration with our Product Owners. This includes not only overseeing the requisite processes but also participating in associated meetings to represent our services.
    • Maintain oversight of Routing bug reports and ensure adherence to bug SLAs with our Product Owners and development team. This includes organizing bug grooming sessions, conducting issue analysis, and handling issues.
    • Benchmark our products against competitors.
    • Ensure the creation, monitoring, and visibility of quality reports, enabling:
      • Product Owners to make informed "go-live" decisions.
      • Teams to use them as references for particular release quality metrics.
      • External stakeholders to be informed as necessary.
    • Guarantee that releases meet the defined quality standards.
    • Collaborate with the Product Owner and development team to define or refine the quality standards for each feature or release.
    • Work with the R&D team to identify, create, and document/report relevant KPIs.
      • Based on data, identify major areas of improvement in the product from a quality perspective
      • Represent our quality towards customers
      • Regularly report routing quality within and outside HERE Routing
    • Interface with Product Owners to prioritize quality topics in sprint planning.

    Who are you?

    Experience:

    • Minimum of five years of relevant experience in quality and process management within product management, closely collaborating with both customers and software development teams.
    • Basic knowledge of project management.

    Skills and Knowledge:

    • Analytical Skills: Possess strong analytical skills and use data to effectively evaluate the success or failure of features, driving key insights and learnings.
    • Customer Focus: A strong commitment to understanding customer issues and innovating on their behalf.
    • Technical Aptitude: Ability to understand the functionality of our routing and location services, even without a deep technical background.
    • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas concisely to a broad audience. Ability to clearly articulate context and rationale, engaging teammates and stakeholders.
    • Agility and Collaboration: Proven understanding and experience in agile environments, utilizing collaborative tools effectively (Jira and Confluence preferred).
    • Influence Management: Capability to manage and lead through influence and strong relationship-building.
    • Passion for Solving Location Problems: Deep understanding of customer quality-related pain points and a proactive approach to defining solutions to address these quickly.
    • Travel: Willingness to travel up to 10%.

    Bonus Skills:

    • Proficiency in data analysis and data-driven decision-making.
    • Technical Experience: Previous hands-on experience in a developement role, including direct involvement in running a service, application, or SDK in production. Experience with managing quality, preventing regressions, and owning related processes within a team.
    • Industry Experience: Relevant experience in areas such as cloud computing, routing, platform services, or web technology.
    • An MBA is considered an advantage.
