Job Description

Torch Technologies is currently seeking a candidate to fill the position of Program Manager.  The Program Manager will assist the Division and Directorate Managers in providing oversight of key contract efforts providing systems engineering and analysis for all Missile Defense Agency (MDA) flight, ground, and cyber tests.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist the Division and Directorate Managers in providing leadership to employees that demonstrates commitment to corporate initiatives and to the culture of an employee-owned company.
• Develop and maintain customer relationships and ensure performance exceeds expectations.
• Work with Division and Directorate Managers to ensure customer support and deliverables are on track.
• Assist in developing and carrying out a strategic vision for supported teams which is in alignment with corporate goals, communicating those plans and goals to employees, and coaching employees to achieve success. 
• As a leader within the company, set the example by consistently demonstrating the company’s core values of: Innovation; Cooperation; Expertise; Customer Focus; Excellence; Integrity; and Reliability.
• Support senior leadership in identifying and maturing high-potential internal candidates for future technical and management leadership positions within the company.
• Assist Division and Directorate Managers in monitoring status of contract funding to ensure no gaps in coverage.
• Support Business Unit objectives by identifying and pursuing growth opportunities with both existing and new customers.

Job Requirements

 

Education: Advanced degree in a technical or business discipline is required.
Training: Advanced leadership/management related training desired.  PMP Certification is desired.

Skills: 

• Minimum of 15 years of acquisition experience and a minimum of 5 years Program Management experience.
• Demonstrated the ability to lead a mid-sized (50 or more personnel) organization.
• Significant experience with weapon system testing and test support.
• Experience and understanding of air and missile defense systems.
• Demonstrated skills related to program management, customer support, employee management, organizational design and strategic planning, opportunity development, and financial/budget management.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
