Requirements of the Maintenance Technician

• Minimum of four years experience in a similar manufacturing environment working with Control Systems, PLC's, CNC Controls, Robots, PC's and HMI's
• Working knowledge of prints, schematics, and equipment documentation for installation, modification and repair of production equipment
• Working knowledge of machine communications including understanding of communication cables and LAN components
• Full competency in working safely in electrical control panels of various voltage levels
• Qualified to work in electrical panel of 3-phase 480 volts and lower using all proper safety procedures and PPE
• Good computer, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
• Mechanical aptitude
• Communication, teamwork, and strong customer service skills
• Prior Robot School is a strong plus

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician

• Troubleshoot, install, and repair all aspects of Automatic, Robotic, and CNC machinery
• Troubleshoot and repair Automated Paint Lines, Setting Presses, Automated Welders, CNC Grinders, Robots, and other complex machinery
• Supporting all aspects of equipment and machinery; including PLC programming and program modifications, programming of HMI's and and servo controllers, and reset Fanuc and Denso Robots
• Teach/Touch up robot positions to correct material handling paths
• Plan and install primary and secondary controls, diagnose electrical/electronic problems, replace or repair parts, detect and replace defective control modules, test units for proper function, and make final adjustments
• Prepare wiring diagram to record changes
• Make mechanical repairs as necessary. Some work and repairs require mechanical repairs, and all techs do this
• Support the daily continuous improvements activities
• Enter all work completed/in progress into SAP work order system
• Any other duties as deemed necessary to support production
