Client Technologies Technician, Sr. maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots desktop hardware and software packages. Interacts with end-users to identify current computing procedures and desktop-based LAN systems software operations and makes selection recommendations accordingly. Being a Client Technologies Technician, Sr. is responsible for writing documentation to describe product corrections. Writes manual for end-users to describe installation and operating procedures. Additionally, Client Technologies Technician, Sr. requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Familiar with the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Typically reports to a manager. To be a Client Technologies Technician, Sr. typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Duties, Responsibilities & Other

    • 9 years of experience in civil land development projects.
    • Experience leading a team of engineers and planners.
    • Project Management experience required, with experience in managing and growing a design team preferred.
    • Experience in developing and managing large private projects
    • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.
    • Proposal preparation including scope, schedule and fee. Contract management and billing.
    • Strong design knowledge in civil land development required
    • Professional Engineering License or Landscape Architecture License in Pennsylvania required. 
    • Prepare written technical proposals, assemble teams to meet client criteria, and develop professional relationships.
    • Will be required to train and develop staff.
    • Responsible for project delivery of complete civil design packages including coordination/oversight of multiple design disciplines.
    • Duties include oversight of preparation of plans, technical specifications, quantity takeoffs and construction estimates in accordance with state design manuals and standard drawings.
    • Successful candidate should have local client contacts and the ability to bring in business.
    • Excellent communication skills required.
    • PE required 

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required. Master's degree preferred.  
    • Minimum of 9 - 14 years of professional experience. 
    • Appropriate professional certification preferred.
    • Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.

    Performance Expectations

    • Complete Annual Individual Training Program
    • Mentor and train staff
    • Train adequate backup personnel to support your role in your absence
    • Develop and maintain customer relationships by soliciting monthly performance feedback, identifying client needs, and identifying the next project
    • Comply with all KCI policies and procedures
    • Ensure projects fulfill ISO compliance requirements
    • Manage work routine of all assigned staff and assign job activities as required
    • Complete other duties as required/assigned
    • Provide input to develop project-specific safety plans and implement project safety plans and ensure compliance with all Federal, state, and local safety rules and regulations
    • Report monthly proposal results to operations manager
    • Achieve or exceed budgeted individual utilization target(75%-80% typical)
    • Attend bi-weekly(or more frequently as necessary) meetings with project team on all projects/tasks
    • Chart and provide project performance results
    • Consult and coordinate with other practices and sub-consultants as required
    • Deliver all projects on time and within budget while fully meeting the scope
    • Ensure effective use of equipment and personnel
    • Meet monthly(or more frequently as necessary) with project analyst to review project invoices
    • Meet monthly with practice leader to review project performance
    • Operate within specified (corporate or project) budget parameters
    • Prepare and submit monthly project completion report
    • Prepare interpractice agreements and/or outside requests as required
    • Prepare monthly progress reports for all projects
    • Prepare monthly project staff utilization plan
    • Propose and negotiate scope, schedule and fee estimate for tasks and projects
    • Provide bi-weekly percent complete data to project assistant
    • Provide monthly project updates to practice leader
    • Provide monthly WIP/AR comments to the operations manager
    • Provide technical project and staff oversight
    • Provide weekly new project budget data to the practice leader
    • Serve as project or task manager on select projects
    • Compare field data to design plans
    • Conduct site visits and gather data, including measurements, sketches, notes and photographs as needed
    • Prepare preliminary concept designs and submit for approval
    • Read and interpret technical documents required for project execution
