Client Technologies Technician, Sr. jobs in the United States

Client Technologies Technician, Sr. maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots desktop hardware and software packages. Interacts with end-users to identify current computing procedures and desktop-based LAN systems software operations and makes selection recommendations accordingly. Being a Client Technologies Technician, Sr. is responsible for writing documentation to describe product corrections. Writes manual for end-users to describe installation and operating procedures. Additionally, Client Technologies Technician, Sr. requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Familiar with the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Typically reports to a manager. To be a Client Technologies Technician, Sr. typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Required Skills and Experience

    • Provide set up and configuration of applications
    • Provide 2nd tier support for business applications within the enterprise
    • Develop recommendations for enhancing approaches for software support service
    • Develop and manage effective working relationships with other departments, groups and personnel with whom work must be coordinated or interfaced
    • Analyze performance of programs and takes action to correct deficiencies
    • Provide a minimum of weekly status report updates for current projects
    • Provide consultation for the evaluation of packaged applications
    • Provide the implementation, configuration and deployment of new packaged software application
    • Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as, meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating resources and meetings in an effective and timely manner, and demonstrate respect for others
    • All work responsibilities are subject to having performance goals and/or targets established

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
    • One year of IT work experience as a Client Technologies Technician
    • Any Microsoft, Apple or ITIL Certification, preferred
    • Experience with set up, configuration, and support of specific business application packages including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
    • Experience with programming and .NET technologies, preferred.
