POSITION SUMMARYAs the Director of Nursing (DON), your role demands effective and well-coordinated leadership within the clinical department. We seek an experienced registered nurse leader with transformative leadership skills. The DON is tasked with establishing nursing practice standards and executing the organization's strategy for delivering outstanding clinical care. Your responsibilities include planning, organizing, and overseeing the functions of the clinical team. The primary focus of the DON is to guarantee the provision of top-notch, patient-centered clinical care across the entire clinical department. Additionally, this position is entrusted with implementing the patient care policies set forth by our company. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:1. Leadership and Management:

    • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the nursing teams across multiple clinic locations.
    • Develop and implement standardized policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure consistent and efficient nursing operations.
    • Manage and supervise nursing site supervisors at the clinical locations, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and professional development.
    • Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement by promoting open communication, teamwork, and accountability amongst staff.

    2. Patient Care:

    • Ensure the delivery of safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care in accordance with professional standards and best practices.
    • Collaborate with physicians to address patient care issues.
    • Monitor and evaluate the quality of patient care and implement necessary improvements.
    • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements across all clinic locations.
    • Develop a system to monitor various clinical software applications to ensure that patients are receiving timely, accurate care from our clinical teams.

    3. Operational Efficiency:

    • Implement and promote evidence-based practice guidelines to improve and optimize resource utilization.
    • Participate in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives at each site.
    • -Assess and develop a plan to strategically provide leadership to all locations.

    4. Collaboration and Communication:

    • Foster effective communication and collaboration among the nursing staff, physicians, and other Borland Groover support services.
    • Act as a liaison between the nursing staff and other departments within the practice.
    • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to discuss patient care, quality improvement, and operational issues.
    • Establish and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders, such as vendors and community organizations.

    5. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

    • Collaborate with the Quality and Informatics team to track and evaluate nursing quality indicators, patient satisfaction, and staff productivity.
    • Prepare regular reports on nursing performance and present findings to senior leadership.
    • Analyze data and identify trends or areas for improvement, implementing action plans as necessary.

    These responsibilities encompass leadership and management, patient care, operational efficiency, collaboration and communication, and performance monitoring and reporting. The Director of Nursing plays a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care across multiple clinic locations. GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Ability to communicate effectively with physicians and staff both verbally and in writing.
    • Works well with patients, physicians, and staff
    • Attention to detail
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a stressful environment.
    • Ability to handle patient issues in a tactful, professional way.
    • Must have transportation and the ability to work at various locations

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelors of Nursing preferred.
    • Previous experience in Gastroenterology will be given strong consideration but not required.
    • Minimum 7 years of clinical operations experience in a multi-site ambulatory care setting with demonstrated success in management, clinical efficiency, and staff retention
    • This position requires a Registered Nurse with a valid Florida license.
    • Strong knowledge of clinical operations, regulatory requirements, and quality improvement methodologies
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, staff, and other stakeholders to achieve common goals
    • The schedule may include some evenings and weekends on occasion
    • BLS certified.
    • EMR proficiency, Excel, and data management.
    • Proficiency with specialty-related software is a plus

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for an extended period of time.
    • Ability to communicate in English.
    • Ability to see within normal parameters
    • Ability to hear within normal range.
    • Ability to use hands, arms, and legs within the specifications of the job.
    • Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
