- SUMMARY: Directs and administers Article 16 clinical services at all certified sites. Responsible for delivery of services and treatment as outlined in Article 16 regulatory guidance documents.
- EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree and 5 years related experience; Master’s degree and 2-3 years health care administration experience preferred.
- Will consider an OT or PT.
- ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
Administers the day-to-day operations of the clinic treatment facilities
Initiate referrals as suitable and in compliance with program and agency procedures
Identify staffing requirements, schedules and vacation coverage to ensure adequate staff attends to patient needs
Oversee clinician patient treatment productivity as per benchmarks and perform action as needed
Plan, schedule, arrange, direct and oversee entire clinical services to ensure optimum program operation and ensuring timely delivery of treatment to clients
System administrator for EHR and all payer portals, maintaining user credentials and appropriate permissions
Liaison with independent contractors and external vendors
Responsible for oversight of credentialing pertaining to insurance carrier requirements to ensure validity of clinic employees and contractors credentials
Develop, implement and oversee Denial Management process
Perform documentation audits and ensure the work of therapists and assistants complies with all regulations, payer policies, program and agency policies
Maintain process for new client onboarding/enrollment and on-going insurance verifications and prior approvals
Ensure on time response to Medicare claim associated reviews and denials
Provides Medical Director and/or Assistant Medical Director with required assistance to ensure treatment is delivered, reviewed, and medically necessary
Produces, reviews and provides all regulatory and agency required program reports
Prepares and reviews monthly financial reports, participates in financial review with finance department and prepares narrative for monthly board of directors meeting
Assists with developing, monitoring and tracking of department budget
Must be able to collaborate with multi-departmental teams
Conducts routine staff meetings
Adheres to and maintains the Article 16 Clinic Quality Assurance Plan
Maintain updated electronic patient records and ensure systems are maintained in accordance to discipline standards
Functions as treatment coordinator in his/her absence
Supervises billing services and staff that submit claims to all insurance carriers, ensuring timely claims submission and remittances, denial rate and bad debt per benchmark metrics
Reports all unforeseen incidents to Chief Operating Officer
Serves as member of various committees and workgroups for the agency, both internal and external
Maintains confidentiality of all persons served and contributes to the improvement of agency operations
Acts in accordance with policies, procedures, and the Agency Corporate Compliance Policy. Reports suspected or actual violations thereof to the appropriate party(s).
Maintains professional decorum at all times.
- SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises employees in the clinic. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- TRAININGS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Full training of Agency Mandatory In-services.
- CLEARANCE/CREDENTIALING CHECKS: Clearance for all mandatory credentialing as outlined by OPWDD and the Justice Center which will include but is not limited to; Staff Exclusion, Criminal Background Check, Fingerprinting, MHL Abuse/Neglect History, and Statewide Central Register check.
