Clinic Receptionist is responsible for greeting and registering patients as they enter the admitting ward of a hospital or clinic. Provides phone, clerical, and data entry support including insurance verification. Being a Clinic Receptionist directs patients, visitors, and callers to appropriate parties and answers basic questions. Requires a high school diploma. Additionally, Clinic Receptionist typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Clinic Receptionist possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Previous Animal Hospital Experience is required and knowledge of Avimark Software preferred but not required.
Job Description (includes not limited to):
Job duties (includes not limited) : Venipuncture, placing IV catheters, performing lab work, monitoring hospitalized patients, radiographs, surgical prep and monitoring, restraining, filling prescriptions, etc. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Required experience:
- Animal Hospital: at least 1 year as a veterinary technician/assistant
