Job Summary:

We are seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to join our team at Apple Valley Vet. As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and their pets. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service and ensure smooth operations at the front desk.

Responsibilities:

- Greet clients and their pets with a friendly and professional demeanor

- Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar

- Answer phone calls and address client inquiries or direct them to the appropriate staff member

- Check-in and check-out clients, ensuring accurate documentation of patient information

- Collect payments for services rendered and provide receipts

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area

- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and record keeping

- Coordinate with veterinary technicians and doctors to ensure efficient patient flow

Experience:

- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal-related field is preferred

- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures is a plus

Skills:

- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

- Proficient in using computer systems for scheduling appointments and maintaining records
