Hillsborough Veterinary Clinic is a small animal practice that has been in business for more than 30 years. We recently transitioned to new ownership, remaining independently owned and operated. HVC offers the highest quality full service veterinary care including wellness and preventative medicine, surgery, dental care, radiology, ultrasound, complete in-house lab work, as well as therapeutic care including laser therapy and acupuncture. Our team is committed to maintaining strong veterinary-client-patient relationships, keeping each pet as healthy and happy as if it was our own.

We are currently looking for 1 new team member. Experience in the veterinary industry and with AVImark software system preferred.

One position available. 4-5 days/week. Starting pay based on experience. This is primarily a veterinary assistant position but candidate should be willing and able to perform receptionist's duties as well.

• Receptionist duties include:
• Answering phones pleasantly and efficiently
• Scheduling appointments appropriately
• Preparing paper files for appointments
• Accurately accepting payments
• Be detail oriented, organized, able to multi-task, able to lift 50lbs
• Appropriately attired for working with animals
• Veterinary Assistant duties include:
• Obtaining complete medical history
• Safe, friendly handling of all patients. Proper restraint methods used when necessary
• Clear, professional client communication
• Prepare vaccines, obtain lab samples, run in house labwork, fill prescriptions
• Able to position and restrain patients for radiographs
• Assist with dental and surgical procedures
• Enter all medical history and services properly in AVImark.
• Be well organized, able to multi-task, able to lift 50 lbs
• Appropriately attired for working with animals

Our hours of operation are Mondays through Thursdays 8:00am until 5:00pm and Fridays 8:00am until 4:00pm. We are closed Saturdays and Sundays and major holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
