Job Overview:
We are seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and support to our clients and their pets. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting clients, scheduling appointments, managing phone calls, and assisting with administrative tasks. Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and their pets with a warm and friendly demeanor
- Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
- Answer high volume phone calls and address client inquiries or direct them to the appropriate staff member
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and record keeping
- Collect and process payments for services rendered
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Provide basic information to clients regarding pet care and general veterinary procedures
- Assist with animal restraint when necessary
- Assist with laboratory procedures, including sample collection and preparation
- Handle animals with care during check-in, check-out, and throughout their visit

Requirements:
- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal-related field is preferred because of the fast paced nature of the position
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Knowledge of basic animal care and handling techniques
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient computer skills for data entry and appointment scheduling
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
