GENERAL

The Data Analytics Specialist assists with the reporting needs for clinical service line financials and incorporates them into the business planning process, supporting senior management with financial feasibility studies on existing and new programs, and is an expert on related data mining activities. This position will support the utilization of that information to develop insightful information for decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma

• Experience Using Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets Preferred

Duties:

• Develop, implement, interpret, and maintain work standards and procedures for providing reporting used to analyze operating performance and profitability.
• Assist the Vice President of Business Administration and the Data Analytics Coordinator in all areas of reporting.
• Assist in the maintenance of various components of the cost accounting system.
• Provide assistance to operating units in the utilization of various data analytics products.
• Develop and monitor revenue/cost standards including the formation and leadership of advisory groups when required.
• Provide analytical assistance for annual capital and operating budgets, long-range financial plans, and productivity and profitability assessments for all units.
• Assist in maximizing the performance of information systems to monitor costs/profitability of services by procedure, diagnosis, patient groups, and other levels as may be defined to assist all levels of management.
• Formulate and prepare routine and special reports.
• Assist To Maintain/update operating budgets for all new and existing facilities.
• Assists in preparation summary of analytical data as requested for administrators.
• Use data analytics to abstract information for financial analysis and decision support purposes, including service-line reporting, proforma and retrospective analysis, capital project analysis, forecasting/trend analysis, profitability/cost analyses, financial projections, labor productivity reporting, departmental analysis, and other duties as may be identified to assist decision-making and business operational review.
• Gather and report data to senior management and external organizations as needed.
• Work collaboratively with teams to provide analytical support, including data validation, discrepancy analysis, cost analysis, and budget preparation.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures while maintaining a professional code of ethics
• Maintain a valid driver’s license
