Queries databases, creates reports and analyzes data to comply with regulatory reporting requirements and support improvements in clinical effectiveness. Being a Clinical Data Specialist defines and tests new measures, validates data, and takes steps to automate and improve the data collection process. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Clinical Data Specialist typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Clinical Data Specialist gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Position Purpose
Community Action Program's (CAP) mission community, driving action, and building partnership to eliminate poverty. Using a Person & Family- Centered Approach and best practice in data management, the Data Specialist ensures that CAP is reporting accurate and complete data and communicating program outcomes to the team, funders, customers, and community stakeholders. They coach staff to align with and achieve this goal, and champion the Two Generation (2Gen) approach and importance of integrated adult and child outcomes.
