  • PRIMARY PURPOSE:

    The Data Specialist is a supporting role to aid in various product and pricing data changes and builds.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Maintain content needs of E-commerce customers, including product data, status updates, pricing, images, videos, PDFs, and other content.
    • Populate product information in customer required formats and data collection websites, such as marketing copy, bullet features and dimensions.
    • Work with vendors to ensure information on-line meets their requirements.
    • Generate reports from SQL Database or SAP Business Objects as needed.
    • Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and procedures.
    • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

    Education, Experience and Skills:

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and data-entry/typing.
    • Strong MS Excel skills including functions (math and string), filters, VLOOKUP’s, formatting, and pivot tables.
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. This role will work members from various departments within the organization as well as vendors and customers at times.
    • Excellent organizational skills.
    • Strong reading comprehension and attention to detail.
    • Knowledge of basic T-SQL (query language used for Microsoft SQL Server)

    ACCOUNTABILITY

    Accuracy and timeliness of work.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must demonstrate strong organizational, inter-personal, math, and computer skills. This position is data intensive. Spreadsheets are frequently used to transfer data; advanced Excel skills are required. Experience with SQL or SAP Business Objects is desired.
