Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented individual for a dual-role our Tax and Audit Departments at PGW. The primary responsibility of this role is to accurately input financial data into our tax and accounting systems, ensuring integrity and accuracy.
Essential Job Duties:
*Assist in the review process of the new customer's sales tax exemption certificates.
* Upload over 25K of sales tax exemption certificates into the new Certificate Center in Vertex
*Update the monthly excel spreadsheet by reviewing the invoices on the accounts payable drive.
* General monthly financial statement tie out – clerical testing of trial balances and tie out of information.
* Emailing/checking various accounting drives, organizing files and rolling forward schedules for close. Specifically,PPE inbox, Vehicle leases, and Inventory files.
* Candidate could review/tie out transactions on test basis to monitor internal controls.
* Assist in monthly account reconciliation process.
Basic Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
* Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field is a plus.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
* Proven experience in data entry or administrative role, preferably in accounting or finance.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word and Outlook.
* Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Understanding of basic accounting principles and terminology.
* Excellent communications skills.
Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment:
PGW works under a Hybrid Model. Work from home Monday, Thursday and Friday. The employees are in the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
