Position Summary: Responsible for managing, supervising, and organizing the day-to-day maintenance of the Campus. Responsible for directing and planning of day-to-day maintenance operations of the business, construction, and renovation projects. Manage preventative, predictive, routine maintenance tasks and cleaning functions.
Position Responsibilities
- Collaborates with internal and external personnel for the purpose of planning, implementing and/or maintaining services and programs.
- Directs department operations; the maintenance of services and the implementation of new programs and/or processes for the purpose of providing services within established timeframes and in compliance with related requirements.
- Monitors budget allocations, expenditures, fund balances and related financial activities for the purpose of ensuring that allocations are accurate, revenues are recorded, expenses are within budget limits and/or fiscal practices are followed.
- Performs personnel functions for the purpose of maintaining adequate staffing, enhancing productivity of personnel, and achieving objectives within budget.
- Extensive knowledge of building systems including general building interior and exterior.

- Assists and inspects new construction, repair work and related projects for the purpose of ensuring that jobs are completed efficiently; specifications are within regulatory requirements; and approving inspection reports and payment requests.
- Ensures facility maintenance according to established standards. Identify deficiencies through regular and thorough inspection of building premises.
- Assists mechanics and operators with repairs and maintenance of building and equipment.
- Complies with departmental policy for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Performs other various duties as assigned by supervisors.

- Manage the maintenance and cleaning department including assignment of tasks, schedules, budgets, reporting and hiring employees.
- Manage relationships with all property vendors including building maintenance and construction.
- Supervise preventative maintenance following specific company instructions
- Schedule and manage maintenance projects for building maintenance and sports/fields
- Knowledge of building management systems (BMS)
- Maintain a professional courteous manner with all students, guests, residents, contractors, vendors, and staff
- Assure safety standards comply with all company, local, city, state, and federal guidelines
- Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance scheduled service as needed
- Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and business ethic codes.
- This position is essential to staff and will assist with managing facility maintenance during emergency or weather-related situations. Essential staff may need to reside on campus for several days for extreme emergencies.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance personagement role
- A proven history of delivering strong financial and operational leadership
- Strong project management skills including the ability to make mid-course corrections
- Knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and maintenance personagement
- Knowledge of project management principles and practices
- Knowledge of financial and accounting principles and practices
- Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple projects
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to interface with a variety of audiences
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced organization

Preferred Skills
- Degree in Business, Engineering, Technical or related field
- Experience playing, coaching or managing
- Minimum five years of experience with various skilled trades used in cleaning, building and ground repair and maintenance.
- Must have and advanced knowledge in HVAC, installing lights, tile, carpet, metal and wood framing, drywall, painting, doors, toilets, urinals, concrete, grounds maintenance, etc.
- Ability to read and interpret building blueprints.
- General computer skills (i.e. Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Solid English language, reading and writing skills.
- Must have solid math and computation skills.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Ability to lift, move, push, and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40lbs.
- Should be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period.
- Must be able to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields, etc.
- Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays is required
- Must have good vision, speech, hearing, and physical ability to perform essential job functions.
- Must have good awareness of surroundings.
- Must be able to operate a variety of hand and power tools.
- Must be in good physical condition, must have full body rotation and mobility (i.e., bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, etc.) to perform essential job functions.
- Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and up to 50 pounds of force frequently.
- Ability to work while standing for a long periods of time
- Ability to climb ladders, work on lifts, stoop, and bend on a regular basis
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to focus and to differentiate between colors and shades of colors
- Ability to work in both air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned environments
