Psychotherapist Job Description
Psychotherapists use individualized, person-centered approaches to treatment as well as evidence-based practices. Our mental health services program is comprised of a multi-disciplinary team of counselors, social workers, and marriage and family therapists who work closely with clients and families to assess their treatment needs and design a treatment program to ensure progress and success in meeting identified treatment goals. Psychotherapists see clients in the community, home, and office settings to support elimination of barriers and offer individualized support throughout the treatment process.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Provides mental health treatment services to clients of all ages, with a variety of mental health needs.
· Completes assessments and diagnoses clients.
· Develops and modifies treatment plans in order to support the client through the treatment process, as mandated by Kentucky Medicaid and Kentucky state regulations.
· Collaborates with other team members to ensure best practices in treatment.
· Completes documents in a timely manner, as indicated by Kentucky Medicaid and Kentucky state regulations.
· Documents sessions via progress notes
· Remains ready and available to work during regular business hours and outside of regular business hours, if necessary, to accommodate patient needs and schedules
· Delivers services, timely, and achieves targets, according to agreed-upon volume and billable hours requirements, as established by the Regional Vice President
· Adheres to Cultivate policies and procedures.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· Minimum of a MS degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field
· Must possess an active license to practice counseling or social work in the State of Kentucky: LPCA, LPCC, CSW, LCSW, LMFT, or LMFT Associate
