Clinical Ethicist offers guidance to patients, their families, and professional staff on ethical, legal and policy issues and concerns stemming from clinical interactions between health care professionals and patients. Provides guidance to the institutional ethics committee pertaining to policy formulation and educational and case review activities. Being a Clinical Ethicist develops institutional policies concerning ethical issues such as "do-not-resuscitate" and "withdrawal of life-support". Requires a master's degree or doctorate related to health ethics. Additionally, Clinical Ethicist typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be a Clinical Ethicist typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. The Department of Anesthesia is seeking a Clinical Technician I. This position under general supervision will perform specialized tasks and procedures in support of our Anesthesia providers before, during, and following patient procedures in various Operating rooms (MOR, SFCH, ASC OB-GYN, and satellite areas) across UIHC. Clinical Technicians will initiate clinical, technical, janitorial, and logistic support in all anesthetizing locations including our operating rooms and satellite locations. The schedule for this position is Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
