Clinical Ethicist offers guidance to patients, their families, and professional staff on ethical, legal and policy issues and concerns stemming from clinical interactions between health care professionals and patients. Provides guidance to the institutional ethics committee pertaining to policy formulation and educational and case review activities. Being a Clinical Ethicist develops institutional policies concerning ethical issues such as "do-not-resuscitate" and "withdrawal of life-support". Requires a master's degree or doctorate related to health ethics. Additionally, Clinical Ethicist typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be a Clinical Ethicist typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.     The RN Charge Nurse Coordinator demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for the Cardiac Telemetry Unit and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the Department Nurse Manager, the RN Charge Nurse Coordinator will lead safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow and contributes to the development of staff, increased staff satisfaction and promotes excellent customer service.

    The qualified RN Charge Nurse Coordinator will have an RN Bachelor’s, RN Doctorate or RN-Master’s Degree with at least 18 months of nursing experience required. There will be Behavioral Health – de-escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire. Emergency Care – de-escalation and physical intervention training within 90 days of hire. BLS required within 90 days of hire. Professional Specialty Nursing Certification preferred.
