Clinical Ethicist offers guidance to patients, their families, and professional staff on ethical, legal and policy issues and concerns stemming from clinical interactions between health care professionals and patients. Provides guidance to the institutional ethics committee pertaining to policy formulation and educational and case review activities. Being a Clinical Ethicist develops institutional policies concerning ethical issues such as "do-not-resuscitate" and "withdrawal of life-support". Requires a master's degree or doctorate related to health ethics. Additionally, Clinical Ethicist typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be a Clinical Ethicist typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Reporting directly to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Imaging Services Manager will oversee 1 Ultrasound Tech, 3 CT/Radiology Tech and 1 clerk/scheduler. They will work closely with other department managers and be supported by the Acute Care Director to ensure patient care is met in a timely manner.
This will be a working Manager role. The Imaging Services Manager will share responsibility for evening/night call with the technologists but will receive compensation for Standby and Callback time. They will be responsible for performance evaluations and oversee compliance within the Departments.
