Provides guidance to the institutional ethics committee pertaining to policy formulation and educational and case review activities. Being a Clinical Ethicist develops institutional policies concerning ethical issues such as "do-not-resuscitate" and "withdrawal of life-support". Requires a master's degree or doctorate related to health ethics. Additionally, Clinical Ethicist typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be a Clinical Ethicist typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. The Assistant Nurse Manager Cardiac Care will report directly to the Nurse Manager. They will be responsible for assisting with interviewing and hiring staff for area of responsibility and assist with implementation strategies to retain nursing team members. The Assistant Nurse Manager Cardiac Care assists in assessing, planning, coordinating, and evaluating the clinical and operational functions for their area of responsibility. This individual helps manage staffing resources to provide optimum patient care based on patient’s needs and acuity and is accountable for appropriate utilization of personnel and material resources in accordance with budget. They will support and promote the Shared Governance model, assist in the development and maintenance of policies and procedures, and be accountable for compliance with regulatory standards.
