Clinical Ethicist offers guidance to patients, their families, and professional staff on ethical, legal and policy issues and concerns stemming from clinical interactions between health care professionals and patients. Provides guidance to the institutional ethics committee pertaining to policy formulation and educational and case review activities. Being a Clinical Ethicist develops institutional policies concerning ethical issues such as "do-not-resuscitate" and "withdrawal of life-support". Requires a master's degree or doctorate related to health ethics. Additionally, Clinical Ethicist typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be a Clinical Ethicist typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. In this exciting role as Wound Services Manager, this qualified nursing leader will be responsible for budget planning, scheduling, daily operations, and 10-20 FTEs. The Wound Care Manager will lead a department that treats acute or chronic wounds caused by diabetes, surgery, injury, poor blood flow, and / or other problems. Knowledge in wound care, ostomy, and therapies such as vein medicine and hyperbaric medicine is a huge plus.
Qualifications of the Wound Care Manager include a current and valid Registered Nursing License, a Wound Care Certification (CWCN, CWOCN, or WCC), and experience in MedSurg, Critical Care, or Surgical Services. Further qualifications include prior leadership experience, ability to oversee conflict resolutions, critical thinking, and strong communication skills.
