Clinical Facilities Planner offers professional services on assigned projects concerning design, construction, development, or installation of hospital buildings and facilities. Oversees construction progress, ensuring that timing, costs and contract requirements are adhered to. Being a Clinical Facilities Planner supervises construction, equipment installation, renovation and redesigning projects. Works with hospital departments to review design changes, equipment specifications/substitutions, purchasing and accounting procedures. Additionally, Clinical Facilities Planner develops and designs feasibility studies for review. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Clinical Facilities Planner contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Job Objective:
Under general direction, coordinates and supervises all aspects of daily and periodic cleaning in complexes to include; inspection of university living areas to ensure cleanliness; supervises 1 assistant supervisor and about 10 custodians; determines appropriate staffing levels required for work projects; meets with occupants to monitor/ensure standards of cleanliness; may coordinate setup for events on all campuses

- Supervises daily work of assistant supervisor and custodians; inspects all assigned areas daily to ensure work is being carried out properly and orderly; prepares and submits work schedules; biweekly payroll.
- Evaluates performance of custodial personnel; prepares and submits disciplinary action and incident reports; counsels employees.
- Designates shift and area work assignments for custodians and lead personnel; interprets contract; conducts training programs for custodians; implements new procedures and policies.
- Maintains records and correspondence; prepares reports; submits purchase requisitions for supplies; maintains supply inventory and accounts; contacts vendors; prepares and submits progress reports on building conditions.
- Establishes and monitors working relationships with students, faculty, staff, co-workers, and visitors.
- Coordinates various cleaning projects; receives equipment, uniforms, and paper orders; operates all cleaning equipment.
- Coordinates setup for events on all campuses and ensures proper staffing.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility:- Supervises one assistant supervisor and 8-10 custodians.
Minimum Qualifications:The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal education, experience, knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required for this position.- Education: High school diploma required.
- Certifications: N/A
- Experience:
- 3 years of progressively responsible custodial work experience, preferably in a hotel, hospital or residence hall facility,
- 2 years of supervisory experience.
