Assembles, repairs, and fabricates metal parts by operating mechanical equipment. Assembles parts into sub-units or complete units. Uses blueprints and design sketches to ensure the proper dimensions and tolerance levels of the finished product. Takes measurements of material and selects the appropriate machine for the process.
Interpret technical prints.
Provide part quotation from technical drawings which include estimated program, set up, and cycle labor plus material size and machined used.
Sets-up, operates manual mills, lathes and grinders and adjust machining equipment for production efficiency without supervision. Able to read and utilize blueprints.
Monitors quality of parts produced to ensure customer requirements are met.
Abides by all Company safety and health policies and procedures.
Must use personal protective equipment if required.
Aware of and conforms to company ISO goals and objectives, and supports company ISO requirements.
Aware of and actively participates in company’s Lean philosophy of continuous improvement.
Ensures measuring devices used to check product quality are calibrated prior to use.
Maintains in-process product identification.
Follows procedure for handling nonconforming parts.
