Logistics company in Middlesex County is seeking a Facilities Manager. The Facilities manager is responsible for creating a suitable working environment, ensuring facilities are always clean and installing and maintaining adequate communications infrastructure, attending to multiple concerns involving both workers and their working environment.
Responsibilities:
· Ensure that the facility is fully operational with all utilities functioning properly
· Schedule and supervise maintenance repair work if needed and assist with checking installation and servicing building equipment, obtaining bids for each repair or capital improvement and stay within budget.
· Maintain stock levels and parts within budget
· Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and assist with energy management
· Oversee security of buildings and grounds
· Maintain ongoing communication with contractors, clients, and team
· Monitor the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor recreation spaces
· Performing routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed
· Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors
· Ensuring proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionals
· Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders and cleanliness
· Creating reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff
· Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions
· Collaborating with building owners and upper management on budgeting for facilities needs
· Work with HR on All Fire Safety and setting up drills
