Clinical Facilities Planning Manager manages professional services for assigned projects concerning design, construction, development, or installation of hospital buildings and facilities. Oversees all aspects of construction including progress, timing, costs and contracts. Being a Clinical Facilities Planning Manager directs construction, equipment installation, renovation and redesigning projects. Works with hospital departments to ensure design changes, equipment specifications/substitutions, purchasing and accounting procedures are in alignment with business objectives. Additionally, Clinical Facilities Planning Manager develops and designs feasibility studies for review. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Clinical Facilities Planning Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Clinical Facilities Planning Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     The Clinical Laboratory Manager will be responsible for financial management, clinical direction, and customer satisfaction for all service lines. The Laboratory Department Manager will promote, direct, and participate in ongoing Program Improvement for all service areas while performing all duties and responsibilities with minimal supervision.

    The Manager of Clinical Laboratory Services will provide area-wide leadership to assigned departments to assure that needed resources are available and to create linkages with administration, other departments or resources, and to provide additional support as needed. The Clinical Laboratory Manager will assess and continually improve performance by overseeing development and implementation of departmental standards and processes to improve service and quality, including patient, employee and customer satisfaction.

    The Laboratory Clinical Manager will formulate and monitor annual budget, analyzing variances and benchmarks and implementing changes in systems or technology required to increase efficiency, productivity and promote cost containment. The Laboratory Clinical Manager will be responsible for department operations, development of performance standards, annual competencies, coaching and disciplinary actions, and determination of staffing levels.

    The Clinical Laboratory Manager will translate organizational changes into daily department operation, participate in the development of organizational strategic goals, and involve department leadership and staff in the development of departmental goals. The Manager of Laboratory will ensure that lab maintains all appropriate licenses, certifications and accreditation while ensuring compliance with CLIA and OSHA requirements.
