The position of Systems Engineer offers support to many business technology products and services. Support may be with hardware, such as desktop computers, printers, scanners or handheld devices or it may be with software programs. The Systems Engineer will generally track all instances of support by creating IT tickets using ticket-tracking software. Consistently demonstrates, Can Do Will Do attitude.
Role and Responsibilities
Work across multiple IT environments
Proficient in Microsoft Desktop OS
Setup of new laptops/PCs and install/upgrade of standard software applications
Provide Level 2 Help Desk Support
Install new software releases, system upgrades, patches, etc.
Willing to be on call in rotation with other engineers
Work directly with Sales to work on complex design for customer presentations
Travel to customer sites
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Must be strong in communication Skills
Must have good diagnosis skills
2 years experience working on a help desk or in support
Experience managing IT security
Experience automating tasks within infrastructure to ensure a better customer experience
Requires a customer service mindset and professionalism throughout all interactions.
Microsoft Active Directory, O365, and SharePoint
Networking Configuring/troubleshooting/deploying (SonicWall/Ruckus/Cisco/Unifi)
Familiarity with Networking protocols (DHCP, DNS, VLANS)
Windows Server 2012 and up and Windows 7 and up
VMWare and Hyper-V experience is preferred but not required
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Certifications such as A , Network , Security , CCNA, any Microsoft Administration Certs are all preferred but not required
