The Coordinator of Infection Control will report directly to the Director of Quality and Infection Prevention. This person will be supported by a committee of staff and experienced infection preventionists, dedicated to improving quality initiatives and infection control practices.
The Coordinator of Infection Control is expected to implement and support performance improvement and quality assessment practices throughout the hospital. The Coordinator of Infection Control will need the ability to perform chart reviews and data abstraction for quality core measures and report their findings to the Joint Commission and CMS. In addition, they will identify, investigate, and keep record of hospital acquired infections, while educating staff, physicians and visitors to prevent further incidents. The ideal candidate will be an RN and certified in infection control.
