Clinical Information System Specialist provides on-site technical support to clinicians to ensure the proper and effective use of clinical information systems and improve the delivery of patient care. Assists users with system navigation, troubleshooting and patient monitoring issues. Being a Clinical Information System Specialist collaborates with leaders across functions and disciplines to plan, implement and evaluate the effectiveness of clinical systems and services. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Clinical Information System Specialist typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Provides nutritional care and education to inpatients, outpatients, staff, and the community. Normal hours of work are 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Weekend coverage rotation is required. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education, Work Experience and Licensure:
• Bachelor’s degree in dietetics/nutrition or related field required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Member of the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics preferred, but not required.
• Fulfills the CDR requirements for continuing education.
• Previous clinical experience preferred, but not required.
• Must be registered or registry eligible with limited permit, and permit and licensed in the state of Ohio.
