Provides health information and support services to the Seneca Nation Health System (SNHS) for the delivery of patient care and associated healthcare services. Ensures the integrity of the electronic medical record (EMR) and monitors documentation. Processes requests for protected health information (PHI) according to accepted privacy standards, security standards, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act.
High school graduate or equivalent. Completion of Associates Degree in Medical Records Management preferred. Minimum two (2) years’ experience. Must have knowledge of medical terminology and the International Classification of Disease Systems.
