Clinical Information System Specialist provides on-site technical support to clinicians to ensure the proper and effective use of clinical information systems and improve the delivery of patient care. Assists users with system navigation, troubleshooting and patient monitoring issues. Being a Clinical Information System Specialist collaborates with leaders across functions and disciplines to plan, implement and evaluate the effectiveness of clinical systems and services. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Clinical Information System Specialist typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Clinical Information System Specialist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Position: Adjunct Online Instructor: Geographic Information System (GIS)
Required:
- An earned master’s degree in Geospatial Science, Geography, Geographical Information Science, or a related field.
- Experience teaching courses in Geographic Information System (GIS) or Geospatial Science programs, e.g., Visualization for GIS and Geospatial Systems.
- Experience in using geospatial software and hardware.
Desired:
- Ability to develop and teach GIS courses online.
- Prior experience teaching GIS courses.
- Background in GIS, including theoretical knowledge and practical experience using GIS software and tools such as ArcGIS Pro and Python programming and guiding students remotely using such programs. A solid understanding of GIS concepts, spatial data models, relational databases, spatial analysis, and visualization of spatially distributed data.
- Experience with online teaching platforms and tools.
- Develop and update course content to meet industry needs and stay current with GIS advancements.
- Excellent communication skills.

- Teach online GIS courses as assigned.
