The Mission Critical Implementation Specialist (MCIS) provides technical and support services (and in some instances direct oversight and governance services) to Enterprise Risk Projects at Organization, that will ultimately allow the Project Manager to execute project deliverables with quality, safely, on schedule, within budget, and in the most effective manner possible.
They are considered an authority and expert in their applicable field with supporting field experience and knowledge of best practices and current code requirements. They have, and leverage, skillsets that challenge the quality of the execution strategies and validate readiness of the project to deliver successful execution of projects and/or deliverables that improve project schedules, reduce project cost, and/or reduce or eliminate project risks. They work directly for the CPM Manager or RMM Manager and with Project Managers of Enterprise Risk projects.
Anecdotally, when Enterprise Risk Project(s) are refueling outage critical path(s), the MCIS position is leveraged to find ways to save Client critical path hours (thousands of dollars), reduce outage durations (millions of dollars), and preclude risks coming to fruition that extend outage duration (tens of millions of dollars).
