Clinical Information Systems Director directs and coordinates implementation, design, and maintenance of clinical nursing information systems used to improve nursing operations. Conducts analysis to understand the needs of nursing staff and develop systems and strategy that supports and optimizes patient care and aligns with organizational objectives. Being a Clinical Information Systems Director researches and evaluates new technologies and tools used to provide new sources of data and streamline nursing practices. Plans the implementation, communication, and training for new technology deployments. Additionally, Clinical Information Systems Director requires a master's degree in nursing. Requires Registered Nurse (RN) license. Typically reports to top management. The Clinical Information Systems Director manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments.     Business Solutions teams in IS (Enterprise, 3PA, Master Data, IS PM) are responsible to ensure enterprise business systems and 3rd party applications leveraged at Biomerics satisfy all critical requirements of the business from a technical, functional, and data standpoint. Responsibilities include evaluation/selection of systems, process design, support of URS/FRS documentation, development, testing, validation, and maintenance (incident resolution and service requisition management). Teams will lead IS run and build (project) effort related to solutions within scope.

    Requirements

    •  Responsible to lead the Information Systems team(s) to provide strategic, scalable, and cost-effective business systems and data support to the organization.

    •  Perform all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of relevant Quality System(s) (QMS) and Regulatory and customer requirements.

    •  Collaborate with executive level management, senior leaders, and stakeholders across the business to facilitate productivity and communication between IS and the business.

    •  Contribute to selection of enterprise systems/applications.  Influence utilization of these systems to satisfy and improve business processes.

    •  Define Run and Build processes/methodologies/framework for IS team.

    •  Define, execute and maintain enterprise software development process including change release process.

    •  Own, update, and configure ERP (NetSuite/Epicor), MES, CRM, QMS, HRIS and other enterprise level applications as well as Third Party Applications.

    •  Lead and inspire business departments on how to manage Master Data (MM, CM, VM) and industry standard maintenance.

    •  Define internal service level agreement (SLA) and operational level agreement (OLA) standards.

    •  Source and manage IS Managed Services contracts and personnel to ensure internal support requirements are satisfied.

    •  Effective resource allocation management to satisfy run and build requirements and objectives.

    •  Effective management of department budget to approved guidelines.

    •  Establish and maintain documentation related to department processes/methodologies/frameworks in the form of Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instruction Documents, Process Maps, Knowledge Base, etc.

    •  Provide formal Career Development Plan (CDP) for each member of the IS team.  Includes regular performance review against company, team, and individual objectives to provide a clear guideline for merit increase and promotion opportunity.

    •  Participate in supplier sourcing and negotiation requirements as necessary.

    •  Management of processes related to the environments utilized to push final enhancements/changes to Prod environment via DEV, TEST, VAL, PROD)


    ·  Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Information Systems, or related fields

    ·  12 years of experience in information systems, with a minimum of 10 years in management or executive leadership roles

    ·  Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders

    ·  Experience with multi-site integrations and management of internal customers across different geographies and product lines

    ·  Proficiency and ownership experience with ERP Systems and other enterprise applications; MES, CRM, QMS, HRIS, Netsuite a plus
