Clinical Information Systems Director directs and coordinates implementation, design, and maintenance of clinical nursing information systems used to improve nursing operations. Conducts analysis to understand the needs of nursing staff and develop systems and strategy that supports and optimizes patient care and aligns with organizational objectives. Being a Clinical Information Systems Director researches and evaluates new technologies and tools used to provide new sources of data and streamline nursing practices. Plans the implementation, communication, and training for new technology deployments. Additionally, Clinical Information Systems Director requires a master's degree in nursing. Requires Registered Nurse (RN) license. Typically reports to top management. The Clinical Information Systems Director manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments.   • Main Objective of Position

    • Responsible for the delivery of IT services, policies and initiatives of the organization.  The position ensures that the IT objectives remain in compliance with all regulatory and audit requirements for Motherson.


    Tasks and Responsibilities (max. 10)

    • Develops and supports IT strategy by aligning IT policies/practices that support strategic business unit objectives.
    • Develop and implement standards, procedures, and guidelines for the operation and maintenance of the company IT systems.   Manage and maintain positive working relationship with IT solution/service providers.
    • Manage day to day and project related IT activities to ensure end users received appropriate/timely support; Provide technical assistance and support for various applications and support.
    • Administer Microsoft Exchange, VPN, and various programs/networks; Support and administer company device (cell phone, smart phone etc.)
    • Maintain 24/7 availability to address critical business/IT related issues
    • Manage and maintain security protocol set up/disaster recovery planning; Ensure integration and backup of applicable servers/systems
    • Adheres to policies and procedures related to ISO/TS 16949, ISO14001, and OSHA
    • Other duties assigned in order to ensure operations run efficient.
    • Proactively make recommendations for more efficient solutions
    • Serve as an SAP – Super User


    Key Figures (Quantities, Budgets, etc.)

    • Stays within/ under set budget
    • On-time deliveries
    • Inventory levels/total logistics cost


    Required Education

    Bachelor's degree in IT or closely related field.

    Professional Experience (Years/ Experience)

    A minimum of 10 years professional experience in IT, ideally three of those supporting a manufacturing facility that utilizes SAP.   


    Specialized Knowledge and Skills

    • Extensive experience in IT/network administration and SAP; Ability to effectively work with individuals at all organizational levels.
    • Excellent attendance and the ability to work a flexible schedule are essential.
    • Understanding of IT, and ERP management is critical.  
    • Ability to meet physical demands of the position, which may include: climbing stairs/ladders, stooping, kneeling, crouching, walking, standing, and lifting.  Ability to safely work in areas that are subjected to hazardous chemicals and machinery.
    • Physically capable of lifting, pulling, pushing up to 50 pounds without injury.
    • Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment.
