Additionally, Clinical Nurse Specialist - Home Care typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires certification as a registered nurse (RN). The Clinical Nurse Specialist - Home Care manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Clinical Nurse Specialist - Home Care typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required. The Critical Care Nurse Director will report directly to the Chief Nursing Officer and will be responsible for building and developing a new team, day-to-day clinical operations, resource management, budgetary oversight, collaboration with other department leaders, and participating in direct care as needed to ensure the highest level of patient care is delivered.
