Clinical Nurse Specialist - Home Care assesses a homecare facility's nursing practice and its impact on patient outcomes. Provides clinical direction to nursing staff in the delivery of patient care programs. Being a Clinical Nurse Specialist - Home Care ensures nursing staff maintains an established level of clinical competency. Requires a master's degree. Additionally, Clinical Nurse Specialist - Home Care typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires certification as a registered nurse (RN). The Clinical Nurse Specialist - Home Care manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Clinical Nurse Specialist - Home Care typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required. The department is a part of a fantastic system that has received performance achievement awards as well as other accolades. The Acute Care Registered Nurse will join an organization with an outstanding reputation in the community and across the Central US.

     

    The Acute Care Registered Nurse will report directly to the Med Surg Manager. Supported by two Med Surg tenured charge nurses and a Supervisor this person will join a fantastic team of dedicated nurses willing to help them learn and grow.

     

    The Acute Care Registered Nurse will assess, plan, and coordinate personalized care for patients. The care provided by the Acute Care Registered Nurse must be individualized, with age and developmental needs taken into consideration. The Acute Care Registered Nurse must be able to adhere to departmental policies and procedures. The position also requires collaboration with team members, other RNs, and Physicians to be able to provide the best care and outcomes possible. Critical thinking skills are a necessity.  The Acute Care Registered Nurse will also have opportunities to develop and grow their own careers through education and quality improvement initiatives while being supported and mentored by fantastic leaders and other staff members.

     

    The Southwest Kansas area is known for their celebration of Old Western heritage and small town living. This hospital is close to the downtown area, housing some sweet restaurants and opportunity for exploring community life if the Acute Care Registered Nurse is a lover of quaint town living.  If the  Acute Care Registered Nurse is someone who loves nature, there are loads of hiking trails to explore all around the Santa Fe Trail tracks.
