Charleston Area Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Quality Specialist at the Memorial Staff Office Building. The position offers a lot of autonomy while assistance is freely shared among the Quality Management team members. The hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am – 4:30pm and doesn’t require call. Occasional late or early morning meets may be scheduled.
The Clinical Quality Specialist will facilitate the Quality Improvement process within the organization. Assist in presenting research and statistics, variances in protocols or practice in order to define standards of practice, and the development of specific protocols and indicators. Support the Service Group and medical staff clinical quality improvement efforts by providing expertise in the design and direction of studies related to quality of care, assessment and improvement, risk management and resource utilization in collaboration with committee chairs, clinical department chiefs, and facility department heads.
