Clinical Nurse Specialist serves as a clinical expert providing teaching, mentoring, consulting, research, and systems improvement in a specific practice area or with a specific patient population. Coordinates and guides clinical activities/projects of nurses within a practice area. Being a Clinical Nurse Specialist collaborates with members of the health care team to design and implement safe, cost-effective, and evidence-based care strategies. May require a master's degree in nursing. Additionally, Clinical Nurse Specialist requires Registered Nurse (RN) License. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Clinical Nurse Specialist manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Clinical Nurse Specialist typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     In this role, you will provide clinical expertise to healthcare providers and patients through utilizing your clinical skills and education, helping them to improve patient outcomes. You will:

    • Provide in person and virtual support to patients newly prescribed Product for Crohn’s Disease/UC
    • Maintain flexibility to vary assignments whether telephonic, in-home or video injection training in order to accelerate disease state awareness for patients and care givers
    • Integrate compliantly, with sales professionals, reimbursement specialists and other matrix partners with the goal of optimizing patient experience

    Essential Requirements:

    • Hold an active Registered Nurse license in good standing and be licensed in the state in which you are applying for the role
    • Bachelors Degree Required
    • Rheumatology, Gastroenterology and/or Crohn’s/UC disease experience preferred
    • Minimum of two years industry experience preferred

    Desired Requirements:

    • Bilingual Spanish
    • Ability to travel locally up to 25%
    • Excellent presentation/organizational and technology skills
    • Strong teamwork abilities
    • Above average computer skills: PowerPoint, Excel, Word
