Reporting directly to the Surgery Manager, and with the assistance from the OR Supervisor, the Surgery Nurse will be consistently collaborating with other departments in order to be sure that the facility is providing their patients with the best possible treatments, while meeting the AORN Standards of Care. The Surgical RN is expected to continuously maintain professionalism by continuing to learn throughout their tenure. The Surgery Nurse may be required to help in other departments when in need, but for the most part will be stationed in the Operating Room.
The Surgical Services Department specialize in general surgery, orthopedics, etc., while providing the highest quality of patient care in the surroundings regions. The Surgery RN will be reporting directly up to the Manager of Surgical Services ensuring that the patient and surgeon are entirely prepared for each and every operation. They will work alongside a handful other Surgical Nurses to complete multiple preliminary and post operative tasks. Each OR will have multiple assigned nurses to assist with Manager of Surgery or Director of Surgery in each procedure. An active nursing license in the state of Colorado as well as at least 2 years of experience is required for consideration of this opportunity.
