The Assistant Nurse Manager ICU will report directly to the Nurse Manager. They will be responsible for assisting with interviewing and hiring staff for area of responsibility and assist with implementation strategies to retain nursing team members. The Assistant Nurse Manager ICU assists in assessing, planning, coordinating, and evaluating the clinical and operational functions for their area of responsibility. This individual helps manage staffing resources to provide optimum patient care based on patient’s needs and acuity and is accountable for appropriate utilization of personnel and material resources in accordance with budget. They will support and promote the Shared Governance model, assist in the development and maintenance of policies and procedures, and be accountable for compliance with regulatory standards.
