Reporting up to the Medical Surgical Nurse Manager and RN-BC Charge Nurse, the Medical Surgical Nurse oversees patient care throughout the shift. This person will work closely with other RNs, LPNs, CNAs, HUCs, and Internal Medical professionals in order to ensure compassionate and competent care.
Throughout the shift, the Medical Surgical Nurse organizes medication administration as well as documentation for the patients. The RN will respond to medical emergencies and work in a fast-paced environment. The Medical Surgical Nurse communicates with patients, families, and hospital employees.
