An exciting opportunity is available in the Houston, Texas area for the Administrative Nurse Director Perioperative Services! The experienced nursing leader will become a welcomed member of the Surgical Services Team at this nationally-ranked healthcare organization.
Reporting directly to the Chief Nursing Officer CNO, the Administrative RN Director Surgical Services will oversee the organization's 20 ORs, PACU, Pre-Op, PAT, Ambulatory Surgery, Anesthesia, and Sterile Processing, facilitating daily and long-term operations for 1,000 annual surgical cases. The Administrative Nurse Director Perioperative Services will provide their strong administrative leadership to surgical services staff, serving as a liaison between employees, patients, and their families, as well as motivating staff and promoting an attitude of excellence in all departments. This role will become responsible for the implementation of recruitment and retention strategies for perioperative services, overseeing departmental budgeting, identifying opportunities for quality and performance improvement, in addition to performing other administrative duties as assigned.
Ideal candidate qualities include:
- Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field
- Bachelor of Science Degree and active Texas State RN License
- CNOR, CAPA, or CPAN Certification
- 5 years of progressive clinical leadership experience in a similar-sized setting
- Proven ability to bring teams together, enhancing employee engagement and fostering an overall positive work environment
