SUMMARY
The Nurse Manager works under the supervision of the Executive Vice President of Medical Services and is responsible for supervising staff and day-to-day operations of the medical department in consult with executive leadership and addressing the Talbot Health Services mission while ensuring that services are provided in a manner consistent with the organizations vision and values. This is a salaried position and as defined by the U.S. Department of Labor is categorized as an Administrative position. As such, this position is classified as exempt under the Wage and Hour Division of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSE, CERTIFICATION
Required
- Five years of nursing experience in a related field
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing
- CPR/First Aid/AED Training
- Crisis Prevention/De-escalation Training
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Maintain complete and current client medical records.
2. Provide medical and case management services, update treatment plans as clinically indicated. 3. Ensure a comprehensive health history is obtained and appropriate referrals are made for further assessment and treatment, as needed.
4. Assist providers with dashboards to ensure accurate information and assist with correcting any errors.
5. Participate in on-call responsibilities, as needed.
6. Assist with monitoring medical compliance and training of staff.
7. Assist with hiring, evaluations, discipline, and termination of staff in consult with the Director of Nursing and Human Resources.
8. Assist in developing and monitoring performance improvement plans of assigned medical staff.
9. Supervise nursing staff at assigned locations.

3. Utilize IT systems and software programs in accordance with agency policy.
4. Utilize time off in a manner consistent with agency policy.
5. Perform other duties as deemed necessary and appropriate by supervisor.

- Ability to learn and utilize the agency’s electronic tools effectively and efficiently within 30 days of hire.

- Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at a time.
- Ability to perform job responsibilities in facilities or community-based residences and buildings with multiple levels and without elevator or mechanical support.
