Sentara Virginia Beach GH is currently searching for a Clinical Nurse Specialist RN to join our team!

Shift:

Full Time (40hrs) - Days

Overview:

This position provides the opportunity to grow the quality improvement at our hospital.  You will lead the team in reducing Hospital Acquired Infections at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital.   Work in a hospital which is located just ten minutes from the Virginia Beach oceanfront, you will love it here!

Job Description:

The Clinical Nurse Specialist demonstrates advanced and specialized clinical knowledge and skills to facilitate the provision of patient/family-focused care to promote health and/or well-being improve quality of life; drive practice changes throughout the organization, and ensure use of evidence-based care to improve patient outcomes. This individual provides expertise and support either directly or indirectly by influencing patients/families, nurses/nursing practice, and organization/systems through direct care, leadership, coaching, research, ethical decision making, collaboration, and consultation.

Requirements:

• MSN required
• Minimum 2yr nursing experience in a hospital setting
• Must be certified in specialty area deemed eligible for CNS as recognized by State Boards of Nursing. CNS registration with Virginia or North Carolina Board of Nursing required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support required for Intermediate Care and Critical Care.
