Clinical Outcomes Analyst jobs in Abilene, TX

Clinical Outcomes Analyst collects clinical outcomes data and performs analysis in support of clinical process improvement initiatives. Gathers data on performance metrics to facilitate the review of program effectiveness. Being a Clinical Outcomes Analyst evaluates and summarizes patient data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards. Identifies areas for improvement and communicates findings to leadership. Additionally, Clinical Outcomes Analyst requires a bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare related area. May require a Registered Nurse (RN) license. Typically reports to a manager. The Clinical Outcomes Analyst work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.     Contacts newly privileged physicians and staff to arrange system training support. Serves as a bridge between end users and the implementation staff. Works with staff and Clinical Educators to enhance application tools for efficiency. Reviews and analyzes the EMR, to include testing, troubleshooting and installation assistance to support an organization's EMR software applications.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Minimum Education
      • High School
    • Minimum Work Experience
      • 1-3 years in a healthcare setting
    • Required Licenses/Certifications
    • Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
      • Ability to present educational information to individual and/or small groups in a professional manner.
      • Knowledge of EMR software applications
      • Knowledge of Windows system level operation
      • Prior experience in product development for healthcare strongly preferred
      • Document and maintain software functionality
      • Strong background in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
      • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
      • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities
      • Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment, in a high pressure on-call environment with changing priorities
      • Willingness to work occasionally outside of normal business hours
      • Excellent English oral and written communication skills
      • Clinical or Meidcal office experience.
