Clinical Outcomes Analyst collects clinical outcomes data and performs analysis in support of clinical process improvement initiatives. Gathers data on performance metrics to facilitate the review of program effectiveness. Being a Clinical Outcomes Analyst evaluates and summarizes patient data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards. Identifies areas for improvement and communicates findings to leadership. Additionally, Clinical Outcomes Analyst requires a bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare related area. May require a Registered Nurse (RN) license. Typically reports to a manager. The Clinical Outcomes Analyst work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:- An associate’s degree in information systems is Required.
- In lieu of a degree, must have five years of relevant work experience in the Informatics field.
- Five years recent clinical experience in a clinic environment preferred; alternate direct patient care and clinical applications experience considered.
- Practical knowledge and experience of PC business software including word processing, spreadsheets, and Outlook is Required.
- Knowledge of computer network operations with a minimum of three years of experience working in a computerized clinical system or other information systems environment is highly Preferred.
- Experience with the EPIC system is highly Preferred.
- Project management experience is helpful.
- Demonstrated teaching skills Preferred.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and producing quality work is essential for this position.
- Must be well organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment and keep track of multiple tasks and projects.
- Must have a technical aptitude of computer systems.
- Must demonstrate accurate keyboarding and data entry skills.
