Clinical Outcomes Analyst collects clinical outcomes data and performs analysis in support of clinical process improvement initiatives. Identifies areas for improvement and communicates findings to leadership. Additionally, Clinical Outcomes Analyst requires a bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare related area.     Primary responsibilities are centered around advancing NCH healthcare services through the strategic integration and interfacing of information technology systems. This role is dedicated to ensuring that various healthcare applications, software, and platforms not only work together seamlessly but also facilitate automated processes to enhance data exchange, interoperability, and operational efficiencies across the healthcare system. This includes internal systems as well as external partners. The analyst is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing management of integration and interfacing solutions, with a strong focus on automation to improve clinical workflows, patient care, and administrative operations.

    Essential Functions:

    1. Design and implement integration solutions for healthcare IT systems.
    2. Configure and maintain interfaces using standards like HL7 and FHIR.
    3. Automate clinical and administrative processes to improve efficiency.A
    4. nalyze system requirements and workflows for integration projects.T
    5. roubleshoot and resolve integration and interfacing issues.
    6. Manage project timelines, resources, and stakeholder communication.
    7. Document integration designs, configurations, and project progress.
    8. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
    9. Conduct quality assurance tests on integrated systems.
    10. Facilitate knowledge transfer and technical support to IT staff and end-users.
    11. Collaborate with healthcare providers, IT professionals, and vendors.
    12. Review and recommend improvements for system performance and user experience. 
    13. Stay updated with emerging technologies and healthcare IT trends.
    14. Participate in ongoing education and professional development.
    15. Lead and participate in meetings and discussions with project stakeholders.

    Essential Qualifications:

    Education A bachelor’s degree in computer science is preferred, but work experience in interfaces and system integration may be substituted. Other appropriate work experience may be considered. Certification(s) ITIL, CompTIA, PMI beneficial. Skills The Healthcare System Integration Analyst must have a strong background in healthcare IT, with expertise in system integration, interfacing (e.g., HL7, FHIR), and automation (e.g. Automate) to improve workflows. 

    Critical skills include analytical problem-solving, project management, and a deep understanding of healthcare regulations like HIPAA. Effective communication is essential for collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders, while a commitment to continuous learning ensures staying current with technology trends. This role requires balancing technical acumen with the ability to manage projects and ensure compliance in a dynamic healthcare environment.

    Work Experience 3-5 years’ experience in healthcare or information technology. Knowledge and experience with network hardware/connectivity is highly desirable. Must be familiar with HL7 interfaces. Experience with the following software is highly desirable: Meditech Expanse, Rhapsody, Automate. Experience with SQL report writing software and SFTP a plus.
