Clinical Outcomes Analyst collects clinical outcomes data and performs analysis in support of clinical process improvement initiatives. Gathers data on performance metrics to facilitate the review of program effectiveness. Being a Clinical Outcomes Analyst evaluates and summarizes patient data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards. Identifies areas for improvement and communicates findings to leadership. Additionally, Clinical Outcomes Analyst requires a bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare related area. May require a Registered Nurse (RN) license. Typically reports to a manager. The Clinical Outcomes Analyst work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Responsibilities:
Education, Training & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of (1-3) years of experience in healthcare IT supporting Clinical/EMR/Financial systems. Meditech Exanse Experience strongly preferred.
Must have experience in developing web-based reporting applications using SQL along with other business analytic applications and systems.
Knowledge and experience in workflow analysis and Performance Improvement Methodologies to enhance/support quality program initiatives.
Experience in data support, coordination, and education, with advanced knowledge of statistics and statistical process control methods.
Knowledge and experience with data management and display and communication.
Must be able to speak, read, write and follow instructions in English.
