Clinical Outcomes Analyst jobs in Spokane, WA

Clinical Outcomes Analyst collects clinical outcomes data and performs analysis in support of clinical process improvement initiatives. Gathers data on performance metrics to facilitate the review of program effectiveness. Being a Clinical Outcomes Analyst evaluates and summarizes patient data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards. Identifies areas for improvement and communicates findings to leadership. Additionally, Clinical Outcomes Analyst requires a bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare related area. May require a Registered Nurse (RN) license. Typically reports to a manager. The Clinical Outcomes Analyst work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.   • Reports to Director of Information Services. Works closely with and takes direction from Clinical Systems Analyst II. Responsible for implementation, maintenance, and support of the clinical information systems. Serves as a resource for and liaison between Information Systems, nursing departments, ancillary and support services, physicians, and other users of clinical information systems. Serves as project manager for clinical information systems projects. Provides input into the design of education programs and provides education to clinical users on information systems use

     

    Minimum Work Experience

    Three or more years experience in related field.

    Required Skills

    Aptitude, interest, and experience with healthcare information systems.

    Ability to work independently.

    Possess ability to communicate effectively using written and verbal communication skills.

    Ability to analyze complex issues objectively and accurately.

    Experience with interdisciplinary teams.

    Reviews, evaluates and implements requests from user departments.

    Resolves questions and issues that arise related to information systems.

    Assists and works with physicians and their office staff regarding information system issues.

    Available off-hours to on-call IS team for clinical application systems problem solving and issue resolution.

    Physical Demands

    Occasional lifting and carrying of supplies and equipment weighing up to 30 pounds.

    Occasional climbing of stairs to other levels of the building.

    Occasional stooping and kneeling to access documents and supplies in lower cabinets.

    Occasional reaching, handling, and fingering to complete paperwork, use telephone and computer.

    Constant talking, hearing, and seeing to interact with patients, visitors, and staff.
