Clinical Outcomes Director directs in-depth analysis of clinical outcomes data to develop clinical process improvement initiatives. Oversees and leads staff who gather data on performance metrics and facilitates the review of clinical program effectiveness. Being a Clinical Outcomes Director creates, defines, and implements performance metrics to review program effectiveness. Evaluates patient data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards. Additionally, Clinical Outcomes Director identifies opportunities and provides recommendations to improve program delivery, patient outcomes, and operational efficiency. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare related area. May require a Registered Nurse (RN) license. Typically reports to senior management. The Clinical Outcomes Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Clinical Outcomes Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     The Hospital Director of Pharmacy will be employed by a national healthcare system, working at a state-of-the-art 300 bed acute care hospital in West Virginia. This highly accredited, for-profit hospital is known for their Surgical Services department, Women and Children Services, Trauma Center, and fast pace Emergency Department that sees over 50,000 annual patients. For over 100 years, this acute care hospital has provided high quality patient care to individuals throughout southern West Virginia and North Eastern parts of Virginia.

    Based out of a newer, state-of-the-art acute care hospital, the Hospital Director of Pharmacy will oversee all inpatient pharmacy services along with four residency programs and several committees. Responsibilities of the Hospital Director of Pharmacy include managing medication safety, quality assurance, hospital compliance, and overall daily operations. The Hospital Pharmacy Director is also responsible for growing the department through hiring, developing short term and long term initiatives, maintaining quality metrics, and ensuring regulatory compliance, and enforcing policy procedures.

    Ideally, the Hospital Pharmacy Director will have hospital pharmacy management experience overseeing inpatient hospital pharmacy service, experience preparing all survey and accreditation material, prior Joint Commission experience, and experience managing large department budgets.
